Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in everyday life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using plant-dyed wool. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, sweeping along the nap.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dye used on the wool may occur.
