Features of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rugs
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, and are hand-woven using naturally dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a high amount of natural oil for effective body temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by hand, strand by strand, by Iranian nomads from this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability. Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat. And above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can be used on the floor or even hung on the wall as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a piece you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For気になる汚れが気になる場合:薄めた中性洗剤(毛・絹用)を固く絞ったタオル等で表面を優しく拭いてください。その後丁寧に水拭きして、洗剤を拭きとってから風通しの良い日陰で乾かしてください。 stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel thoroughly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove any detergent, then let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, as well as weaving and dyeing imperfections. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
