Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile carpets hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who graze their livestock in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads thread by thread after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, demonstrating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, is its artistry. Gabbeh created by the nomads are often designed with animals and plants, and each one is a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on walls as art.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be variations in shape, pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping
The pom-poms located at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
