Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who inhabit the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, deeply rooted in their daily lives. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
