Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.If it needs cleaning: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar cloth. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dyes may be present.This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping.
