Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool as a fundamental part of their daily life. The Persian Variat wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, so they don't feel hot.
And above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a wrung-out towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool, which may result in a distinctive odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Tassels can be removed before shipping
The tassels attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the tassels does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
