Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of fat to regulate body temperature well.

Daily Care

Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For persistent stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
