Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, developed to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils for effective thermoregulation.
Gabbeh rugs, woven with this wool dyed with natural dyes by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shade.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dye used on the wool.
Please be aware that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
