Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Points to Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
