Gabbeh are hand-woven, long-pile rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
