This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because of the extra effort required in weaving, it is a Luri Baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh.
"Luri" means "fine" and "Baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant feel with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs, made by hand-dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, showcasing their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat buildup.

Daily Care
Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed upon request
If you wish, we can deliver the Gabbeh with the pompoms, which are attached to the corners and middle of the rug, removed.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
