This is a classic Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. With a size that is neither too big nor too small, it easily complements your room's interior. Approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to place under a dining table. It is soft, plush, and features a pleasant texture that can be used all year round. Enjoy a unique, hand-woven design that is one of a kind. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-Baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a denser weave than regular Gabbeh rugs. "Luri" means "fine" and "Baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lifestyle of the Qashqai nomads who inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran. These rugs are hand-woven by them using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian variant wool used in this product, known for its excellent durability and soft, pleasant texture, contains a high fat content that helps regulate body temperature, enabling sheep to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains. Dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are exceptionally durable, said to last up to 100 years. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, providing a cool feeling. And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece. They can be used on the floor or even hung on walls as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Consequently, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
