This is a classic Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. It's not too big and not too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior. At approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to place under a dining table. It features a soft, plush, and pleasant feel that can be used all year round. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind hand-woven design that is unique in the world. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. Because it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh. "Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft and pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs, handcrafted by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel, woven meticulously strand by strand after dyeing the wool with natural dyes. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, providing comfort even in hot weather. And, above all, their artistic quality stands out. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being an original, one-of-a-kind item. They can be used on the floor or even displayed as art on a wall. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As a result, there may be a unique scent from the wool dye. While the scent will gradually dissipate with use, we ask for your understanding in advance.
Tassels can be removed upon shipment
The tassels attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping. Removing the tassels will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you wish to have the tassels removed before shipment, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
