The Persian Valiant wool used in this product comes from sheep that thrive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, possessing excellent durability and a soft, pleasant feel with high lanolin content for temperature regulation.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, sweeping along the pile direction. If there are stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, then dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are made from sheep's wool, which may produce a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool. This smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery. Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
