Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai nomads who graze their flocks in Iran's Zagros Mountains, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Varied wool used in this product, native to the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, possesses excellent durability for survival and contains a high amount of natural oils, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture that effectively regulates body temperature.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If stains are a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Points to Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
