Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomadic tribe who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture that contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
The Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture, created by Iranian nomads who carefully hand-weave each strand of wool dyed with natural dyes.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
