This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, which requires more effort to weave. As a result, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a denser weave than regular Gabbeh rugs.
"Luri" means "fine" in Persian, and "baf" means "weave."

Features of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are handwoven by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
These Gabbeh rugs, handwoven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their soft and fluffy texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last up to 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find a special Gabbeh just for you, one that you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being handwoven, there may be slight irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a handwoven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Tassels can be removed before shipping

The tassels on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the tassels will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
