Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Varied wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content that helps with temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh, hand-woven with great care by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, using this naturally dyed wool, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If you notice dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dye used for the wool may occur.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can also be removed for shipping

The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
