Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool to create deep-pile rugs rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously woven by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
