Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by hand, thread by thread, by Iranian nomads from this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, is warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing it from feeling hot.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
