Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with long piles, deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile. For気になる stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may occur. The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but we kindly ask for your understanding in advance.
