"Lize" means "fine" in Persian, and "baft" means "weave."

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads inhabiting Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, effectively regulates body temperature.
Gabbehs, hand-woven meticulously one by one by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme daily temperature differences, Gabbehs are also characterized by being warm in winter and airy in summer, making them feel cool.
And, above all, their artistry. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imagination often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Gabbehs are meant to be used for a long time; why not find your own special Gabbeh?
Daily Care
Remove dust and debris by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool.
While the scent will gradually dissipate with use, we ask for your understanding in advance.
