"Lize" means "fine" in Persian, and "baf" means "weave."

Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile that is rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as soft, pleasant-feeling fibers rich in oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, made by Iranian nomads who carefully hand-weave each strand of this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are also known for keeping warm in winter and being well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be placed on the floor, but are also beautiful enough to be displayed as art on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
