Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool as a part of their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature well, resulting in soft and pleasant-to-the-touch hair.
Gabbeh rugs, made by Iranian nomads who hand-dye this wool with natural dyes and meticulously weave each strand, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there's their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being an original, one-of-a-kind item.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also displayed on walls as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh rug that you can cherish forever?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed upon request

The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
