Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadic herd in Iran's Zagros Mountains, hand-weaving them using plant-dyed wool. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fibers containing a high amount of natural oils to help regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, made by meticulously hand-weaving this naturally dyed wool, one thread at a time, by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing them from feeling hot.
And, above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, with each piece being a unique original.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be displayed on walls.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping

If you request, the pompoms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
