Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, hand-woven by them using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used on the wool.
This smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
