Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads, who herd in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool as a part of their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with abundant oils to regulate body temperature effectively.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
