Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in daily life, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads by hand, strand by strand, using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their soft and fluffy feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, demonstrating their excellent durability.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with large temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat buildup.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh created by the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of handweaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used to color the wool.
The smell will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms on the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
