Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, everyday rugs handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, which contains a high oil content to help regulate body temperature. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being handwoven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of handwoven items. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool. The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
