Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature, resulting in soft and pleasant-feeling fibers.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dyes may occur.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
