Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
These Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, created in a climate with extreme daily temperature differences, also has the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there's its artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique original.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also displayed as art on walls.
Why not find a Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time, a special one just for you?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the wool dyes may be present.
This odor will gradually fade with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed upon shipment

The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
