Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are made from vegetable-dyed wool and deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
