Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily life. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the wool dye may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
