Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadic graze in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture is rich in oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, created in a climate with large temperature fluctuations between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool feeling.
And above all, there's its artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh rug that you can cherish forever?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar cloth. Afterward, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you wish to have the pom-poms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
