Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who graze in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are dyed with natural plant dyes and are deeply rooted in daily life. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If stains are a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
