Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. They are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Important Notes

As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
