Gabbeh rugs are handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are rugs deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with a long pile. Daily Care

Use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dirt and dust along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of handwoven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the wool dye may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
