Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool to create long-pile rugs rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove any detergent, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to the handmade nature, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, a distinctive odor from the wool dye may occur.
