Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft to the touch with a high fat content to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, woven individually by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind item with no two alike.
They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, patterns, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive smell from the dyes used to color the wool.
Please note that the smell will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
