Gabbeh are long-pile, grass-dyed wool rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, deeply rooted in their daily life. Daily care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
