Daily Care

Remove dust and debris along the pile with a vacuum cleaner or broom.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-knotted, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-knotting.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
