Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadic in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to effectively regulate body temperature.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of handweaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping
The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
