This classic hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug is perfect for placing in your living room or in front of a sofa. It's not too big, not too small, and easy to match with your room's interior. Measuring approximately 1.5 tatami mats, it's also easy to place under a dining table. It features a soft, fluffy texture that is pleasant to the touch and can be used all year round. Enjoy a unique, one-of-a-kind hand-woven design. This particular Gabbeh is a Luri-baft Gabbeh, woven with fine threads. Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively. These Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also characterized by being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat. And of course, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can be used not only on the floor but also displayed as art on walls. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap of the rug. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape or pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present. This odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
