This classic hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug is perfect for your living room or in front of your sofa. It's not too big and not too small, making it easy to match with your room's decor. At approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to place under a dining table. It's soft, fluffy, and has a pleasant feel that can be used all year round. Enjoy a unique, hand-woven design that is one of a kind. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it's a "Luri-Baft Gabbeh," meaning it's thinner and more densely woven than a standard Gabbeh. "Luri" means "fine" and "Baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Hand-Woven Persian Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. These long-pile rugs are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product comes from sheep living in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains. This wool boasts excellent durability for survival and contains a high amount of natural lanolin, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, and adept at regulating body temperature. Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads thread by thread with this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture. A well-woven Gabbeh is so durable it's said to last for 100 years. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool sensation. And, above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the nomads' imaginations, often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, original piece. They are not only perfect for laying on the floor but can also be hung on walls as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the handmade nature, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As a result, a distinctive odor from the wool dyes may be present. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
