Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by hand by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture containing a high amount of lanolin for effective thermoregulation.
Gabbeh, hand-woven carefully strand by strand by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool feel.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
Please be aware that the smell will gradually dissipate with use.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms located at the corners and in between on the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
