This is a hand-woven Persian silk rug, made in Iran (Persia).
It's a classic hand-woven Persian rug, perfect for placing in a living room or in front of a sofa. With a size of approximately 1.5 tatami mats, it's neither too big nor too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior and ideal for placing under a dining table.
Tranje (Medallion) Pattern
The main feature of the popular and traditional Tranje pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread around it, creating a beautiful design. Tranje pattern rugs can suit any room, and are especially recommended for in front of a living room sofa or as a centerpiece in a room.

Characteristics of the production area (Qum)
Qum is a famous silk rug producing region, so much so that "Qum" is synonymous with "silk rug." It produces the finest rugs among all Iranian rugs. Qum is located in the northern part of Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are very rich. Various colors are used skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most are art-level rugs with workshop signatures.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are rugs woven in Iran. They have a long history and are famous for their beauty and durability, lasting for generations. They are among the most outstanding artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. Since the design and materials used vary by production area, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. There are delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops, as well as simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess an unparalleled charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum up dust from the surface along the direction of the pile. If you spill liquids, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel under the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, pat the area with a tightly wrung-out towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang the rug in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dyeing unevenness. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
