Characteristics of the Origin (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk rugs, to the extent that when you mention silk rugs, Qom comes to mind. It produces the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in northern Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are very rich. Various colors are used very skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most are artistic level rugs with the workshop's signature.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most excellent artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance the atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill drinks, first absorb the liquid with something highly absorbent (such as kitchen paper or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, gently dab with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with something highly absorbent and hang to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dyeing variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
