This is an original design, one-of-a-kind piece by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhances its charm. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold to match the shape of the stone.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality, hard stone. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as a stone for the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
In addition to Iran, the best source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While American Arizona turquoise is often imported into Japan, this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production and rarity in recent years.
