This is a one-of-a-kind original design by our shop, crafted by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created our store's jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the stone's beauty. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") originated. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with high hardness, and features a vivid, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring skies." In fact, this was the first stone used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, and Egypt. While many American Arizona turquoises are imported to Japan, Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production in recent years, making it a precious stone.
