This is an original design by our shop, a unique piece by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's School of Fine Arts, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the allure of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold to match its shape.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky blue color, known as "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality, hard stone. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the finest quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While a lot of turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing output in recent years, making it very precious.
